My name is Alain Pichot, and I am the founder of StoriForge Marketing & Design.
I founded StoriForge on a few core principles: achievability, function, and character. I believe in creating achievable solutions for my clients that they can use. These solutions should be customized to focus on functionality and target my clients’ specific goals. They should also help my clients share their brand stories in a way that customers can feel their character through their messaging.
StoriForge’s development is closely tied to my own career development.
I majored in Graphic Design and got my first taste of freelance work, doing small projects for local boutiques and logos for friends and family. After I got my BFA, I worked for several years at a 10-man marketing agency near Purdue, where my freelance work mostly focused on the more fun client projects. I moved on from there to become the Marketing Manager for a larger Chamber of Commerce in Michigan. There, I got a front-row seat to the start and growth of many small businesses, and connected with business owners who needed more than a passing small project.
With the growth of my side freelance work, I took the opportunity to dive fully into my business at the start of 2026, and I now live in Rogers Park, running StoriForge and enjoying the big-city life. I operate mostly on the north side of Chicago and in the bordering suburbs, but I love any excuse to take the CTA and explore farther from home.
